A small disc of beeswax measuring approximately 1" in diameter and 1/2" thick.
Using beeswax to condition hand sewing thread before stitching makes pulling thread through fabric easier and helps to keep your thread from forming knots you'll have to untangle. To use it just place you thread over the wax and hold it down gently with your thumb pull the thread across the wax then proceed in the usual manner.
